As I mentioned in some previous posts, one of my motivations for creating this world, is to think about how to create community trough communal experiences that are not dependent on invisible ideology. What if food or the senses of body or even music were the places we create community from? How could I do this in a fantasy world?
In Llyria, when you use the word “Table” you are referring to “Table Culture”. Unlike the word cuisine which refers mainly to the flavors, ingredients and methods of preparation, “Table Culture” refers to cuisine and includes: agricultural practices, harvesting methods, presentation, the meanings of eating certain foods, daily rituals, moral or ethical issues around food, and beliefs around what food is and how it should be eaten, and maybe even who should be or not be eating at the table.
